If your computer was imaged by someone, often if you don't have a network connection upon the first boot, windows won't activate it. People often place a command to activate windows in their sysprep file. If there is no network connection while this is ran, windows will eventually claim it's not genuine. To fix this, run "slmgr /ato" from an elevated command prompt.

I did not see this error message before. Did you run the command prompt as Adminsitrator? Just to make sure can you run the following command from the elevated command prompt: cscript slmgr.vbs /dlv BTW I made a mistake with the second command. slmgr is not an exe, it is a vbs. cscript slmgr.vbs /ato should re-activate Windows 7 for you.
